Prepare a clearer machine specification.
Use the checklist, machine comparisons and technical answers to prepare your inquiry.
These resources are a starting point for discussions with Guangzhou Winshol Tech Co., Ltd. Final specifications should be agreed for the selected machine and application.
Machine selection checklist
Describe the material.
- Substrate type, coating or surface treatment, and thickness.
- Roll width and diameter, or individual sheet dimensions.
- Print area, repeat length and required number of colors.
Define the result.
- Artwork, reference marks and registration tolerance.
- Ink system, drying or curing method, and material heat sensitivity.
- Cold foil, special effects or downstream processing requirements.
Explain your workflow.
- Target output and typical job length.
- Existing printing, drying, finishing or rewinding equipment.
- Changeover frequency, operator workflow and inspection criteria.
Prepare the site details.
- Installation country, factory space and access dimensions.
- Available voltage, frequency and phase.
- Local utility, ventilation and equipment-compliance requirements to review.
What to record in a machine sample trial
Agree on the accepted part before the trial starts. Send production stock, the artwork version and any existing printed or die-cut reference. A demonstration print on a different material cannot settle how your job will run through drying, handling and conversion.
- Identify the job. Record material type, coating and thickness, roll or sheet dimensions, repeat length, artwork revision and the proposed ink or foil. Mark unknowns instead of guessing.
- List the equipment actually used. Name the machine model and the print, registration, curing, foil, inspection and rewind or collection modules in the trial. Separate modules in the quotation from equipment already in your factory.
- Keep the trial conditions. Note the material batch, reference marks, run length and settings used for the accepted sample. Catalogue maximum speed does not describe the number of accepted parts from this job.
- Check the finished part. Agree on appearance, position, drying or adhesion, handling and the result after the next production step. Label and retain both accepted and rejected samples with the conditions under which they were made.
Ask the supplier to state any unresolved test result or extra module in writing. The machine RFQ checklist helps gather the job details before you request a trial.
Frequently asked technical questions
What is the difference between roll-to-roll and sheet-fed screen printing?
Roll-to-roll equipment handles material supplied on a web. Sheet-fed equipment handles individual sheets. Start with the format in which your material enters production, then check the printing area, feeding and downstream handling requirements.
When should I consider CCD registration?
Consider a registration-focused configuration when a new print must align to reference marks or existing features. Whether CCD is appropriate depends on the artwork, substrate stability and required tolerance; confirm performance using the intended material and process.
Should I choose UV curing or hot-air drying?
The choice depends on the ink system and substrate. UV-curable inks require a compatible curing process; other ink systems may require a suitable drying process. Review ink-supplier data, material heat sensitivity and production conditions before specifying equipment.
Can one machine print every type of film?
No universal compatibility should be assumed. Film chemistry, surface treatment, coatings, thickness, ink and drying conditions all affect the result. Share the actual material specification and discuss sample evaluation.
Can I combine screen printing with cold foil?
The catalog includes screen-printing and cold-foil configurations. Suitability depends on the substrate, adhesive, foil coverage and production sequence. Describe the intended finish and request a configuration review.
What information is needed for a machine quotation?
Provide the substrate and thickness, roll or sheet dimensions, print size and repeat, number of colors, registration requirement, ink and drying process, and target output. Add the installation country, available electrical supply and any line-integration requirements.
Detailed machine selection guides
Use these focused guides to compare a process before selecting a machine model. Final equipment scope depends on your material, artwork and sample review.
Roll-to-roll machine selection
Choose by web width, print area, color sequence and curing.
CCD vs three-point registration
Plan around reference marks, substrate stability and feed direction.
UV curing vs hot-air drying
Compare ink, substrate and installation conditions.
Sheet-fed vs roll-to-roll
Start with the material format and complete handling path.
Screen printing and cold foil
Specify the artwork, foil area and process sequence.
Machine RFQ checklist
Prepare the information needed for an engineering review.
WL-350D vs WL-350S vs WL-350DW
Separate one-color, two-color and print-plus-foil requirements for 350 mm label webs.
Roll-fed film drying ovens
Compare pre-shrink, inline and constant-tension roles before planning a material trial.
